🎯 Goal: 300 donors

Every blood donation has the power to save lives.

Blood cannot be manufactured—it can only come from generous donors. Every day, patients rely on donated blood for emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments, chronic illnesses, and childbirth complications. A single traumatic accident victim may need dozens of units of blood in just hours.

Donating blood is important because:

🩸 It saves lives immediately – Blood is often needed in life-or-death emergencies where there’s no substitute.

🩸 It supports your local community – Donations stay within the healthcare system serving neighbors, friends, and families in your area.

🩸 Demand is constant – Blood has a short shelf life (red blood cells about 42 days, platelets only about 5–7 days), so supplies must be continually replenished.

🩸 It helps vulnerable patients – Cancer patients, premature infants, surgical patients, and those with blood disorders may depend on regular transfusions.

🩸 Anyone can need blood unexpectedly – A car crash, medical emergency, or major surgery can happen to anyone, anytime.

🩸 One donation can help multiple patients – Whole blood can often be separated into red cells, plasma, and platelets, helping more than one person.

When you donate blood, you’re giving more than blood—you’re giving time, hope, and a second chance to someone in your community. The person who receives your donation could be a neighbor, coworker, friend, or even a loved one. A simple hour of your day can mean a lifetime for someone else! So come out, roll up your sleeves, and give for a life saving cause!

As we celebrate graduation season, we want to recognize 3 very special members of our EMS family who are graduating this year! 🎓🚑
Being involved in EMS as a young person is about so much more than learning medical skills—it’s about building character, responsibility, compassion, and confidence. Our junior members learn how to stay calm under pressure, work as part of a team, serve their community, and make a difference in someone’s worst moments.
The experience gained through EMS at a young age creates leaders. Whether these graduates go on to careers in healthcare, public safety, or entirely different paths, the lessons they’ve learned here, service, dedication, resilience, and heart; will stay with them for life.
We are incredibly proud of our 3 graduating junior members and thankful for the time, energy, and passion they’ve given to serving our community alongside us.
Please join us in congratulating the Class of 2026! Your future is bright, and we can’t wait to see where life takes you. 🎓🚑

This EMS Week, we celebrate more than emergency medicine—we celebrate the connection between our EMS providers and the community we are honored to serve.

Every call is more than an emergency. It’s a neighbor needing help, a family facing uncertainty, a child who needs comfort, or a friend experiencing one of the hardest moments of their life.

At WCLSC, serving this community is more than our mission—it’s our privilege. Whether responding to emergencies, supporting community events, providing education, or standing ready when you need us most, we are proud to serve the people of Washington County.

This week, we thank our EMTs, AEMTs, Paramedics, volunteers, support staff, and our public safety partners for their compassion, professionalism, and commitment to caring for our community.

And to our community—thank you for your trust, your support, and the opportunity to serve you.

💚 Always there. Always ready.
