International Children's Day is a celebration dedicated to promoting the welfare, rights, and happiness of children around the world.

First established in the 20th century and widely observed on June 1 in many countries, the day highlights the importance of education, healthcare, protection, and equal opportunities for all children.

The Taylor County Democratic Party encourages support for children’s development and well-being and we fight for candidates who truly put our children’s futures at the forefront of their actions, not just words.

Tonight, we will be joining author Nico Lang on the Abilene stop to promote their new book, "American Teenager". Seven and One Books is hosting the event, and the TCDP will have VDRs on site to register voters. We hope to see you there.

Friday, May 29, at 6pm, the TCDP is working with Seven and One Books to host author Nico Lang during bilene stop on his cross-country tour promoting his new book, American Teenager.

TCDP will be on hand registering voters, but everyone is welcomed to attend and show support, both for the author as well as our local LGBTQ youth and their families and friends. Please come out and help make this event a success.
