Christian Service Center is happy to announce the hiring of Meredith Horn as the next Executive Director with a stated goal of serving more neighbors, changing more lives, and making God’s love more tangible in our community.

Meredith has successfully administered the Operation Blue Jeans program for the last two years, and prior to that, as a volunteer, fell in love with the mission to show the love of Jesus to those in need by providing basic needs and personal development. Meredith previously worked as a Controller for Eventus Advisory Group and as the Client Accounting Services Manager at Condley and Company, LLP.

Meredith will begin as Executive Director at Christian Service Center on September 1st, and Jim Clark will begin his new role as Director Emeritus at that time. The board will introduce our new Executive Director at our fall luncheon on September 25, 2026, and a meet-and-greet open house will be held later this fall.

Time is running out to get your child ready for school! Tomorrow is the last day for Operation Blue Jeans. Don't miss your chance to receive brand-new back-to-school essentials!

⏰ 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. – No appointment needed, just walk in!
📍 Christian Service Center, 3185 North 10th Street

Eligible children entering pre-K (ages 3+) through middle school may receive:
👖 2 pairs of blue jeans
👟 1 pair of tennis shoes
🩲 5 pairs of underwear
🧦 5 pairs of socks
🧥 1 hoodie (middle school students)
✨ Available while supplies last — don't wait!

To receive assistance, please bring:
✅ The children receiving assistance
✅ Social Security cards for the children and parent/guardian
✅ Parent/guardian photo ID
✅ Amount of monthly household income
✅ Amount of monthly food stamp assistance, if applicable
✅ One can of food per child to help stock the Christian Service Center food pantry and bless other families in our community
