Some snaps today of pre-release squirrels. Put a carrier in with some gourmet quality pecans to entice them. Great to see them alert, curious, & cautious. We try to make capture for release as gentle as possible. They have learned to be extremely cautious of humans at this point!

Moving time can be traumatic to wildlife. Carrier is in place for these juvenile squirrels to explore. Their natural curiosity has them all over it. Their natural caution means they will take their time. They don’t know that a much bigger space is clean and waiting for them on their next step to release!

A wonderful opossum advocate came across a little guy not ready to be on his own. Because she is caring and vigilant, she then found a sibling. Butch & Sundance are cleaned up, fed, & comfy with a diet plan in place to allow them to get everything needed for a successful release back into their natural habitat! Thank you, Diane & family!
