All disasters and major emergencies begin at the local level. The West Central Texas Emergency Preparedness Conference is an annual regional event designed to bring together emergency management professionals, public safety partners, and preparedness stakeholders to address the natural, man-made, and emerging hazards that affect our communities.

The 2026 conference will be held on September 10, 2026, at the Brownwood Event Center, with an anticipated attendance of approximately 300 participants.

The purpose of this conference is to equip attendees with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to strengthen preparedness, enhance response capabilities, and support effective recovery efforts. Through expert guest speakers, targeted training sessions, and the showcasing of regional support assets, the conference provides a valuable opportunity for emergency preparedness personnel to learn the latest strategies and build strong professional networks.

Disasters touch every part of a community: its people, homes, infrastructure, institutions, and businesses. Effective preparedness and response depend on the combined efforts of leaders and professionals across all sectors, including healthcare, education, emergency services, utility providers, emergency management, and city and county leadership. When these partners are well trained, well informed, and working in coordination, communities are far better equipped to reduce the impacts of emergencies and support a faster, more resilient recovery.

Your consideration in donating Door Prizes for this important regional event is sincerely appreciated. As a Door Prize Donor, your name and organization will be recognized and highlighted before all conference attendees.

On behalf of the 2026 West Central Texas Emergency Preparedness Planning Committee, thank you for your support.
