Alright teammates — here they are: the updated 2022 PT test components and score charts.
Just like many of the changes we are making, this was an evolution based on 9,000 data points collected from assessing roughly 2,000 Airmen across 23 installations.
From there, we decided to implement the following strength and cardio options:
Cardio
✅Traditional 1.5-mile Run
✅ High Aerobic Multi-shuttle Run
(Yes, we removed the walk option until we are able to standardize the V02 measurement equipment across every installation. We will continue working the logistics and evolution in the meantime. The 2km walk will still remain a component for people on a profile.)
Strength
✅Traditional Push-Ups
✅Hand-Release Push-Ups
Sit-Ups
✅ Traditional Sit-Ups
✅ Cross-Leg Reverse Crunch
✅ Plank
(And yes, the waist measurement is no longer part of the fitness assessment…the Air Force Surgeon General owns that requirement, and will be providing guidance on the program in the coming months)
