Join us for the 8th Annual Aberdeen Marching Band Festival on September 30! The festival marching band parade begins at 9:00 am from the corner of 15th Ave NE and Dakota St with bands marching West to Main Street. Bands will be judged and compete in three classes: Middle School, Middle/High School combined, and High School. Bands include: Warner Middle School, Holgate/Simmons combined 8th grade, Groton, Northwestern Area, Redfield, Frederick Area, Warner High School, Ipswich, Langford Area, Aberdeen Christian, Faulkton, Hoven, Aberdeen Roncalli, and Castlewood. Our feature band is the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles Marching Band and our special guest is the NSU Marching Wolves! Following the parade, an awards ceremony will be held in the Strode Activity Center. Join us to cheer on these hard working band students. We’re going to try and hold the Sept star gazing party on Saturday the 26th at the 12th Street Park. Full Moon will begin rising at 7:20pm and will be piggybacking on Saturn as the night goes on. We’ll emphasize those two objects through breaks in the clouds.

The Aberdeen Area Convention & Visitors Bureau knows that Storybook Land, Aberdeen South Dakota is a magical place where childhood dreams come true, but it’s the staff that makes all of that magic come alive!

From the ride operators to the concessions attendants to the all-important Storybook Land Express conductors, it’s the staff at the park that make it all possible!!

Rosters for Men's City League Basketball are being accepted and are due on Tuesday, September 22. Fees for the first half-season are $375 per team. Season Begins October 19. Storybook Land, Aberdeen South Dakota

Storybook Land and Land of Oz will be closed for the season beginning on Monday, September 21st due to construction projects and improvements in the park.

Gift Shop, Concession Stand, Rides and Visitor Center will be open September 12-13 and September 19-20 from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Storybook Land will remain open for walk through traffic on weekdays through September 20th.
