The Stitching Hearts Quilts of Valor group from Abercrombie were honored to be able to award nine Quilts of Valor to veterans and a servicemember at an evening celebrating an early Veterans Day at a local Veterans of Foreign Wars event.
The evening started with an opening prayer prior to a wonderful meal, the pledge of allegiance, followed by the solemn and symbolic POW/MIA ceremony that honors prisoners of war and those missing in action. The nine veterans were then recognized individually when receiving their Quilts of Valor.
On behalf of the Quilts of Valor Foundation and a very grateful nation, we thank these veterans and the current service member for their service, sacrifice, and valor in serving our country.
