Check out this fun, week-long shopping event to support local businesses and knock out the holiday shopping in a meaningful way! ❤️

TODAY IS THE DAY— Small Business Saturday! 🎁

From one side of Vermilion Parish to the other, VEDA is making holiday shopping fun, easy and family-friendly with our parish-wide Shopping Scavenger Hunt, aimed at one main objective: shopping LOCAL!📍

It all kicks off TODAY, November 26 for Small Business Saturday and continues through Friday, December 2!

Let’s get started:

🎁 1. Grab a Business List from any of the participating retailers or our webpage: https://developvermilion.org/vermilion/shopsmall/

🎁 2. Start shopping and exploring our beautiful Vermilion Parish! We encourage you to visit new locations to learn more of the products and services offered here, while supporting your neighbors and community ❤️ Bring the kids and make it fun!!

🎁 3. Stamp your business list at each listed location that you visit! You’ll need only 2 stamps per city/town to be eligible for the grand prize drawings!

🎁 4. Drop off your completed business lists to Brasseux's Hardware & Outdoors in Abbeville or Maurice by Friday, December 2!

🎁 5. GRAND PRIZE DRAWINGS for 2 winners will be Saturday, December 3! Grand prize includes One night stay for two at Crawfish Haven/Mrs Rose's Bed and Breakfast including the full package of a crawfish excursion with Crawfish Haven! Not only do the winners get to participate in a crawfish excursion but will also enjoy the fruits of their labor with boiled crawfish–5 lbs. of crawfish, corn and potatoes per person. The next morning the winners will get a crawfish omelette, boudin egg rolls, and a Cajun biscuit for breakfast! VEDA is excited to welcome Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA), Restore the Mississippi River Delta and other partners to Vermilion Parish and City of Abbeville, Louisiana for a ‘Community Conversation’ discussing the State’s 2023 Coastal Master Plan!

This lunch/early afternoon meeting is intended to be a deep dive discussion with our parish communities on how CPRA is addressing coastal challenges facing our region, a live demonstration, and debuting of documents and projects!
