National Crops Resources Research Institute Uganda's premier crops resources research & dev't institute under the policy guidance and co-ordinat All the programmes have multidisciplinary teams.

Research activities in the institute are carried out under mandated commodity programs. Presently the priority crops include beans, soybean, cassava, maize, rice, sweetpotato, oil palm, and Horticultural crops. The institute emphasizes participatory research which involves farmers (and other stakeholders) at all levels of technology generation and development.
