The Prime Minister added that government has been able to implement up to 80% of the manifesto promises. He highlighted a number of areas where government has successfully implemented the manifesto commitments and still on a steady track to hit 100% implementation progress.

The areas highlighted include; electricity generation; citing construction of the Karuma and Isimba Dams, reviving the Uganda Airlines, completion and commissioning of the Women’s Hospital at Mulago, rehabilitation of Mulago Hospital; currently at 90% completion, Industrialization progress, road construction and the fight against corruption, among others.

He further emphasized that maintaining peace and security has remained the core ingredient upon which all other social and economic developments are hinged.

PM Rugunda promised members of the public and the media that in the course of the next two weeks, different sector Ministers and technical officers will be informing Ugandans about what is happening in their dockets in line with the Manifesto.
