DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of His Worship Mayor Mwenyi Anthony, Mayor of Bukhaweka Town Council.

He tragically lost his life in a road accident while returning home on the night of 1st January 2025.

The community mourns the loss of a young, energetic and dedicated leader. Burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.

DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Hon. Councillor representing Bubutu Town Council and Secretary for Finance, Hon. Main Fred.

Hon. Main Fred passed on Monday 29th December 2025 at 7:10 PM at Mbale Elgon Hospital.

The Namisindwa District leadership, family, friends, and the entire community mourn the loss of a dedicated and selfless leader who served with commitment, integrity, and humility.

Details concerning the vigil and burial program will be communicated in due course.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing DEO, Namutosi Sophie Kuloba, for her dedicated service and commitment to education. We wish her the very best in her retirement.

Leadership Transition | Namisindwa District Local Government

On 9th September 2025, Namisindwa District officially witnessed the handover of office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer. We bid farewell to Mr. Magiri Joseph, who has been transferred to Kapchorwa District Local Government, and welcomed Mr. Isabirye Mathias as the new Deputy CAO of Namisindwa.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Magiri for his dedicated service to the District and wish him every success in his new assignment. At the same time, we warmly welcome Mr. Isabirye and look forward to working with him to strengthen governance and promote efficient service delivery in Namisindwa District.
