When you are a student - you have a great time to realize your potential 😉

The semester exchange program is one of the best opportunities that students of Університет банківської справи Banking University take advantage of 💛💚

Here is a feedback of a student who participated in the Erasmus + program last year:

"My name is Andrey Vashulenko, I am a 5th year student at Banking University. I had the opportunity to go to study for a semester in Lithuania under the Erasmus + student exchange program.

I think Erasmus is a great opportunity. In my experience, here are some key benefits:

✅ Live and study in another country.
✅ Ability to improve your English
✅ Meet many new acquaintances from 20 different countries
✅ Receive a scholarship for study
✅ Travel in your free time
✅ Live in a dormitory with sea view
✅ Have a great time

For 5 months of study there was a lot of everything: from study to leisure.
Choose what you want:
Write an article in a Lithuanian magazine or promote a fictional business on Facebook, take a Lithuanian course or learn basic phrases from Turkish, organize a table tennis or chess tournament, prepare Ukrainian dumplings (Varenyky) for an international dinner and taste national dishes of other countries and much more.

It is somewhat sad that during half of the training there was quarantine and a large number of activities were canceled. And even with quarantine, it was the best opportunity during my student period of lifetime. Getting on to the program is not easy though, I only succeeded on the third attempt, but it's worth the effort.

P.S. After talking, you realize that for students from other European countries, the program is not unusual - universities offer dozens of places each year. I hope that in time Ukrainian students will have much more of such opportunities. "

Thank you for sharing your wonderful and unforgettable experience! We wish you to apply the acquired knowledge in your future work 😊

Nikita Lymar, a second-year student at Cherkasy Institute of Banking University, shares his impressions 🤩 about his personal learning experience during the spring semester of 2020/2021 academic year. He participated on an exchange program at Poznan University of Economics and Business☺️

“This was my first experience of exchange academic mobility abroad, and from the very beginning I experienced only positive emotions”- writes Nikita Lymar.
"At first we were pleasantly impressed by the convenience and condition of the rooms in the dormitory, later it became known that the largest park in the city is a few minutes of walk from the dormitory building, which was also a nice surprise," says the student.
Prior to the studies, the host school organized a tour around the city, which gave us interesting information about its historical background. During the orientation day, on which we were provided with organizational issues, observed the buildings of the University of Economics and Business in Poznan.
✅Nikita chose the following disciplines: International Finance, Financial instruments and market, Polish language course, Financial analysis.
👨🏻‍💻 "Despite the distance learning format, there were no disadvantages: everything is perfectly organized and made in such a way that you even forget about face-to-face learning format. The information is provided in full in an interesting form. Teachers provide terminology in such clear way that there is no need to translate it. Some subjects involve projects that you lead throughout the course and have to present its results, and this requires teamwork, which makes the process even more interesting, "says Nikita.
"The mini-society 👥 in which I found myself in the dormitory is diverse. These are active exchange students who are happy to spend time in the stadium or go to a club, and sit quietly in the lobby and talk about interesting topics, improving their English🗣."
Nikita who is already almost finished his exchange program is convinced that over time he will receive positive emotions from using this opportunity provided by Banking University - to be an exchange student.

📆Ukraine celebrates the Day of Bank Employees on May 20
On the eve of the Banker’s Day, the Banking University hosted a round table discussion "Formation of competencies of modern professionals in the context of digitalization of finance and open banking."💚💛
Almost 100 people took part in the meeting: students, university graduates, scientists, bankers and professors from Kyiv, Lviv and Germany. The dialogue turned out to be extremely constructive and useful for all participants.
It has historically been the case that from the very beginning of its founding in 1940, Banking University💚💛 and specialists in the field of finance and credit - as one friendly family. BU constantly monitors the need for staff to keep abreast of today's challenges and train professionals and our partners help our students to enrich their knowledge by inviting them on the internship programs and practical courses. Bankers, in turn, are looking for active and purposeful students in the BU💚💛 to invite and offer them a job.
"And it was from this friendship that the wonderful idea of introducing the Bank employee's Day into the calendar of significant dates and professional holiday was born".
Research and teaching staff of UBS together with specialists of the National Bank of Ukraine, the Association of Banks of Lviv region researched the historical aspects of savings in Galicia and proved the need to introduce a professional holiday for all involved in the financial and credit sphere. And since 2004, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Bank Employees on May 20.
During the discussion we talked about :
✔trends of the banking market,
✔robotic bankers,
✔ requirements of employers and expectations from employees,
✔ monitored the level of salaries
✔discussed new aspects of cooperation

Master's students dwelled on their pains, when trying to implement creative and creative ideas, they prefer small companies over large financial institutions, where it is much more difficult to implement the ideas through bureaucracy. They talked about the prospects of human competencies, that routine is the main enemy of the enthusiasm of university graduates who are beginning to build a career in banking institutions. The graduates of the university Vitaliy Romanchukevych - First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Industrialbank, and Yaroslav Omelchuk - Head of the Compliance Service, SSO JSC "TASKOMBANK" (TAS Group), thanked the University for giving good knowledge, opening the world for professional opportunities, teaching to think extraordinaly and giving competencies that do not lose the value nowadays. We discussed about the skills that are extremely necessary to instill and develop in students and the ability to solve complex problems is one of the most important. After all, a modern bank is already a dynamic market place with enormous opportunities, which competes in the market not only with its peers, but also with IT companies. The company's success in the market depends on a strong team, and on a strong team with a common vision of goals and the same values. We agreed that every employee of the company should be focused on making this world a better place.
What motivates students and how they imagine a company where they want to work? Many students seek to immerse themselves in the operational life of the bank during the internship and gain some motivation by practicing. This openness of dialogue on equal terms is an extraordinary asset and what makes higher education modern.

Who took part in the discussion round table❓
Scientific and pedagogical staff of the university headed by Angela Kuznetsova - Doctor of Economics, Professor, Rector of Banking University,
