The EU & UNICEF Humanitarian Air Bridge delivered 100 tonnes of lifesaving aid to support the fight against in the DRC; including medicines, protective gear, tents, and other essential supplies.

The EU acted swiftly, announcing €15 million in additional humanitarian assistance, on top of the €87 million already allocated this year for the Great Lakes region.

Together, the EU and Africa continue to stand united in solidarity, partnership, and collective action to protect lives and strengthen resilience in times of crisis.

Some send statements. Some send delegations. Some show up for the photo. The EU stays for the work.⁣

From election observation at dawn to negotiating tables at midnight. From post-conflict rebuilding in the Sahel to democratic support across the Pacific. Real partnership is not a gesture. It is consistency. It is staying after the headline fades.⁣

That is what the EU does. Not because it is easy. Because the people on the other side of that promise deserve to know we will be there tomorrow, too.⁣

Reliable. And that’s the whole point.
