📻 Community radio production that debates vital gender issues gets underway as part of the “Inspire to Lead! Change Begins with Me!” campaign under the Gender Transformative Action Programme: Breaking the Glass ceiling.

Trained journalists across📍Tanzania are working with 13 radio stations ranging from Afya Radio in Mwanza to Highlands FM in Mbeya developing specific content on gender equality, women’s empowerment, and gender norms.

The Gender Transformative Action Programme: Breaking the Glass ceiling is led by the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups and funded by the European Union.

Discussions focused on:

✅EU concerns with regard to Tanzania’s Human Rights and Democracy situation & foreign policy priorities.

✅ cooperation based on democracy, rule of law, values & mutual interests.

Turning Potential into Prosperity

At the Zanzibar Investment Summit , Dorota Panczyk-Piqueray, Head of Economics and Governance at the EU Delegation to Tanzania, highlighted the European Union and Tanzania renewed partnership aiming to deliver on shared priorities and mutual interests to deliver sustainable and inclusive growth, local value addition and job creation, in particular for women and youth.

Through , the EU offer combines high-quality investment in key sectors such as renewable energy, agricultural value chains, critical minerals, digital connectivity and transport with skills development, high standards and support to regulatory framework and governance bringing together financiers and European investors to local businesses. Zanzibar is open for sustainable business and European Union is ready to help connect European companies with local partners.

The EU & UNICEF Humanitarian Air Bridge delivered 100 tonnes of lifesaving aid to support the fight against in the DRC; including medicines, protective gear, tents, and other essential supplies.

The EU acted swiftly, announcing €15 million in additional humanitarian assistance, on top of the €87 million already allocated this year for the Great Lakes region.

Together, the EU and Africa continue to stand united in solidarity, partnership, and collective action to protect lives and strengthen resilience in times of crisis.

The European Union (EU) was pleased to join partners, governments, civil society and the private sector at the launch of the Africa Grassroots Observatory on Critical & Strategic Minerals (AGOCSM). 🌍⚒️

The Observatory will play an important role in promoting transparency, accountability and community participation in the critical minerals sector across Africa.

Congratulations to Team Mikumi (International NGOs Men) in yellow, who emerged as champions in the men’s tournament, and to Team Saadani (Community Women) in green, who claimed victory in the women’s category. 🎖️

Team Serengeti (Team Europe Women) in blue finished in second place, while Team Selous (Team Europe Men), also in blue, secured third place in the men’s tournament.
