The Institute of Social Work (ISW) invites applications from qualified candidates for admission into the following programmes to be offered in the academic year 2026/2027
at both Dar es Salaam and Kisangara Campuses:

A. Basic Technician Certificate Programmes (One Year) in:
1. Social Work (Both Campuses)
2. Business Administration (DSM Campus)
3. Labour Relations and Public Management (DSM Campus)
4. Human Resource Management (DSM Campus)
5. Community Work with Children and Youths (DSM Campus)
6. Early Childhood Care and Development – (Kisangara Campus)
7. Counselling psychology (DSM Campus)
8. Marketing and Entrepreneurship Development (DSM Campus)
9. Conflict Management and Alternative dispute Resolution (DSM Campus)

Minimum Entry Qualifications
(i) The applicant must have at least four (4) passes (in any excluding religious
subjects) at Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE).

B. Ordinary Diploma Programmes (Two Years) in:
1. Social Work – (Both campuses)
2. Business Administration (DSM Campus)
3. Labour Relations and Public Management (DSM Campus)
4. Human Resource Management (DSM Campus)
5. Community Work with Children and Youth (DSM Campus)
6. Early Childhood Care and Development Programme – (Kisangara Campus)
7. Counselling psychology (DSM Campus)
8. Marketing and Entrepreneurship Development (DSM Campus)
9. Conflict Management and Alternative Dispute Resolution (DSM Campus)

Minimum Entry Qualifications
Direct Entry:
(i) The applicant must have at least a minimum of one (1) principal pass and a
subsidiary at Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE)
in appropriate subjects that will amount to a minimum of 1.5 points (i.e., at least one
E and S). In addition, the applicant must have four (4) credits from Certificate of
Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) - excluding religious subjects.

Equivalent Entry:
(i) The applicant with a Basic Technician Certificate from any institution recognized
by NACTVET must have a minimum GPA of 2.0. In addition, the applicant must
have Four (4) passes from Certificate of Secondary Education Examination
(CSEE) - excluding religious subjects.
