Thais Suguiyama 為居住於巴西聖保羅的視覺藝術家與動態設計師，畢業於聖保羅大學視覺藝術系。其創作實踐橫跨純藝術、平面設計與動畫，並延伸至多元領域與脈絡。在創作軌跡中，作品深受集體經驗形塑，並長期參與如 Firma Gráfica 及 Depois do Fim da Arte 等團體的合作計畫。
透過拼貼與影像挪用，Thais 將印刷品、平面圖像與工業媒材結合並應用於結構體上，藉此重構其視覺語言。近期的創作研究轉向物件與動畫，試圖探尋「動」與「靜」之間的模糊地帶，並以此構建獨特的場景與敘事軸線。

Meet the third Plan A2 artist who will be joining Lize this June!

▎ Brazil
Thais Suguiyama is a visual artist and motion designer based in São Paulo, Brazil. Holding a degree in Visual Arts from the University of São Paulo, her practice develops at the intersection of fine arts, graphic arts, design, and animation, expanding across diverse fields and contexts.
Throughout her trajectory, her work has also been shaped by collective experiences, engaging in collaborative processes with groups such as Firma Gráfica and Depois do Fim da Arte.
Through collage and image appropriation, Thais reconfigures her visual language by combining printed, graphic, and industrial materials applied to constructed supports. More recently, her investigations with objects and animation have focused on the intersection between the animated and the inanimate, as well as on the creation of scenarios and narratives.
