🌱 Building a greener future — together.
Proud to represent Slovakia at the opening of Build for NextGen and as part of the Intelligent Green Building Alliance.

I had the opportunity to deliver opening remarks highlighting Slovakia’s commitment to greener, smarter and more resilient buildings and cities. 🇸🇰🌏

The green transformation is not only about technology and energy efficiency. It is about innovation, cooperation and shared responsibility — and about creating healthier places for the generations to come.

Slovakia may be a small country, but we are ready to share our experience, build new partnerships and learn from others.
Together, let’s build not only greener buildings, but a better future. 💚

🇸🇰🍷 When Slovak Wine Meets Taiwanese Cuisine
On Friday, September 28, a special gala dinner featuring a tasting of Slovak wines was held at L'Art de Vivre Restaurant in Taichung.

A carefully curated Taiwanese menu was paired with a selection of Slovak wines, demonstrating that Slovakia's rich winemaking tradition can stand proudly alongside world-class gastronomy.

During the evening, guests also enjoyed a presentation of Slovak culture and traditions, jointly organized by the Slovak Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, Slovak wine importer Jean Chu of SVKwine, and internationally acclaimed wine ambassador Patrick Chen.

It was a delightful evening filled with exceptional flavors, engaging conversations, and meaningful connections. We would like to express our sincere thanks to L'Art de Vivre Restaurant and SVKwine.com for creating such a memorable experience.

We look forward to many more events bringing together Slovak wines, Taiwanese cuisine, and people from both cultures. 🥂

I was pleased to have a productive working lunch with Mr. Joseph Liao, Founder and Chairman of Jonnesway Enterprise, to discuss opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in education, research, innovation and business.

Our discussions focused on potential collaboration between universities, particularly in the field of business management, creating new opportunities for academic exchanges and entrepreneurial development for young people in both countries. We also explored the idea of establishing a Chamber of Commerce, which could further strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations.

With nearly three decades of business experience in Slovakia, extensive networks within Taiwan's business community, and longstanding support for bilateral relations, Mr. Liao brings valuable expertise, vision and leadership to this initiative.

I look forward to transforming these ideas into concrete partnerships that will further deepen academic, economic and people-to-people ties.🤝

🎨 **Young Slovak artists shine in Taipei!**
We are proud to share that Slovak children achieved outstanding success at the 57th World School Children's Art Exhibition in Taipei, winning 2 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze medal and 52 Excellence Awards from among 50,000 submitted artworks! 🥇🥈🥉

In addition to receiving a Gold Medal, the artwork My Cheerful Self-Portrait by Mattias Zámečník (aged 9) from the Elementary School of Arts in Stará Turá was also honored with a Special recognition for its exceptional artistic quality and originality.

The award ceremony took place Sunday 16.8.2026 at the Nanhai Theatre, National Taiwan Arts Education Center, and we were honored to be present, representing Slovakia and celebrating this achievement together with young artists from around the world.

Art truly knows no borders, it's a universal language of imagination, dreams, and creativity. We're delighted that our young talents' work traveled all the way here to be seen and celebrated.

Congratulations to all award-winning children, and thanks to the Association For Education Through Art ROC for organizing this wonderful event that keeps building bridges between our cultures. 🙌

As part of their visit to Taiwan, the Children’s Folklore Ensemble Slnečnica from Senec also visited the Slovak Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei.

During the meeting, Ms. Lucia Langer, Representative of the Office, introduced the ensemble to the Slovak Economic and Cultural Office's role in strengthening bilateral economic and cultural relations. She also spoke about opportunities for international study exchanges and encouraged the young participants to explore educational and intercultural experiences abroad.

As many of the ensemble members travel internationally, Ms. Langer also highlighted the importance of registering with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic's Svetobežka travel registration application, which helps the Ministry provide timely information and assistance to Slovak citizens while abroad.

We were pleased to welcome Detský folklórny súbor Slnečnica to our Office and wish them continued success in representing Slovakia and its rich cultural heritage around the world.
