國立臺灣大學，簡稱臺灣大學、台大，是台灣一所研究型國立綜合大學，也是台灣第一所現代大學。前身為台灣日治時期（1928年）創立的「臺北帝國大學」，1945年中華民國接收台灣後改為今制，並於1949年兩岸分治後成為中華民國政府投注最多資源的高教院校。台大現有台北市境內的九大校區、散布於全台的六處校地、以及台大醫院等附屬機構，佔地接近台灣本島面積的百分之一。
