中華民國無障礙科技發展協會 從「盲用電腦研發小組」，到發起成立本協會，我們始終相信，只要有適當?

1990年，為發展中文化盲用電腦系統，若干淡江大學教授、特殊教育專家、與中華電信研究所研究員，協力組成盲用電腦研發小組；

1995年，首套軟、硬體系統完成研發，並透過淡江大學盲生資源中心，執行各校視障學生的推廣工作；

1998年，因應非就學階段之視障者對於學習中文盲用電腦的需求，正式成立全國性之非營利團體─中華民國無障礙科技發展協會，致力於盲用電腦推廣及視障者就業協助。
