高雄市立圖書館前鎮分館於民國 82年3月1日正式啟用，是前鎮區目前唯一的公共圖書館，座落在高雄市與鳳山市交界處保泰路上，鄰近高速公路南下瑞隆路交流道，交通便利，所在地為崗山仔南區裡聯合活動中心4,5樓，館舍面積 600坪，典藏12萬冊圖書，館藏特色為「投資理財、原住民圖書資料」。
