根據衛部統計，每年因跌倒所造成的死亡平均人數為335人，其中65歲以上老人平均為147人，高達43.8%；跌倒後平均生命年數損失18.4年；75歲以上跌倒且髖骨骨折的老人中，約50%一年內死亡，來看看老人跌倒所潛藏傷害有多嚴重。
