It has been a while since I've posted so I thought I would post an update here. It has now been nearly 5 months and we are still no closer to a resolution of any kind.
The strangest thing that has happened in the interim was the return of my parents' dog to the village, 74 days after their disappearance. Stranger still, Tina was in good condition. She had clearly been kept somewhere, had been fed but not walked as her muscles had atrophied somewhat and her claws had lengthened, implying she had certainly not been walking around the countryside for 72 days.
Despite ongoing efforts from investigations and searches, still not a trace of my father's whereabouts. No clues, no leads. It is astonishing and exhausting. Perhaps someone somewhere will be able to shed some light at one point.
