H.E. Amb. Alkali F. Conteh paid a courtesy visit to Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran, Rector of Hacettepe University.

Hacettepe is one of Turkiye's leading University teaching hospitals with over 100 departments, that focuses on health sciences.

They had fruitful and engaging discussions focusing on possible areas of cooperation in the field of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences.

The discussions were also centred on possible collaboration between Hacettepe University and MOHERST, UTG, USET and EFSTH.

Both parties expressed interest in mutual cooperation for the advancement of the existing bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ambassador A. F. Conteh this afternoon (10th April) paid a courtesy visit on the newly appointed President of Tika (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency) Mr. Abdullah Eren.

Discussion were centred on the ongoing cooperation in the fields of: Education, Agriculture, Health, Tourism and Defence Industries as well as potential cooperation opportunities in the very near future.

The Gambia Embassy - Ankara in collaboration with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), is facilitated the repatriation of Gambians stranded in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Special thanks to Gambian Embassy - Doha (Qatar) for facilitating their movement to the Turkish Border Post (Gürbulak).

The Mission participated in the 14th edition of the World Cooperation Industries Forum(WCI) in Istanbul, Turkiye.

The Gambian delegation which included Honorable Dr. Ismaila Ceesay, Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services and Honorable Bakary Badjie, Minister of Youth and Sport, the Gambian Ambassador to Türkiye, His Excellency Alkali Conteh, and the Deputy Director of Press and Public Relations from the Office of the President.
