SSgt Asia Andrews-Orange, 39th CONS CSS, was presented with the Incirlik First Sergeant Council’s Diamond Sharp Award for September 2023! Her expertise in Commander Support Staff activities supported a service members transition out of the military after resolving a 1.5 year long issue preventing the member from departing after almost 36 months on station. Her knowledge of Air Force and local guidance for travel helped her accomplish a Wing level exception to policy, allowing the Squadron to attend one of their teammates weddings locally - a true sign of support and wingmanship! SSgt A-O is truly Diamond Sharp!

Titan 2 taking the flag for the POW/MIA run this morning.

Please take a moment today to remember those who have fallen in battle, been taken captive and those who have never returned. We remember!

A1C Kyle Riazi deployed on short notice to a geographically separated unit due to a communications related issue. He expertly repaired a sight picture allowing higher headquarters visibility of operations within the area of responsibility. For this action, A1C Riazi was recognized as our August Diamond Sharp Award winner. He did a gooooooooooood joooooob!

(He’s also a huge Taylor Swift fan and would really love a USO/Armed Forces Entertainment Tour for all of Incirlik)

A1C Drake McCoy was at the club participating in Karaoke where a member was becoming aggressive towards other individuals both physically and verbally. A1C McCoy stepped in to defuse the situation by removing the individual from the scene and enacting deescalation measures learned from GRIT training. Through his leadership he escorted the heavily intoxicated Airman back to his dorm room and made sure he was safe for the night. A1C McCoy also exemplifies service before self as he stepped up to aid a fellow wingman in medical distress and had to be escorted to the hospital off base. A1C McCoy stayed by the Airman's side for more than 24 hours ensuring that his care was tended to to include food and general well being. A1C McCoy then escorted him back to his house where he recovered before return to duty the following day and was credited with being a phenomenal wingman!

A1C McCoy is truly “Diamond Sharp!”

While off-duty, SSgt Julia Lowdon received a call from a distraught Airman about a wingman in need of help. Upon arrival to the dorms, she initiated medical aid to the Airman who was choking, unresponsive, and also had a head laceration. SSgt Lowdon ensured the member's airway was cleared, placed the Airman in the recovery position, and kept the Airman as alert as possible to mitigate potential complications from a concussion.
After EMTs arrived, she conducted thorough tunrover, and ensured expeditious transport to definitive medical care. Due to SSgt Lowdon's swift intervention, medical was able to reach the member prior to a loss of oxygen to his brain, alleviating potential irreversible damage.

SSgt Lowdon is truly a Diamond Sharp NCO!

Good luck to all eligible SSgts!
