On January 23, Mr. Sang Suri Songthong, head of Hat Nopparat Thara - Phi Phi Islands National Park, reported an exciting sight at Maya Bay, Krabi! 🏝️ Dozens of blacktip sharks (1-1.5m long, 10-20kg) were seen swimming just 1 meter from shore, feeding on small fish along a 300-meter stretch.
Blacktip sharks usually swim in shallow waters (about 5m deep) and appear when the sea is calm. This rare sighting has amazed park staff and visitors! 😍
Krabi’s tourism season runs from November to May, welcoming 5,000-6,000 visitors daily, contributing over 2 million baht to the local economy. 🇹🇭✨

Tips for visiting Ang Thong Marine National Park:

-> The park is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
-> There is an entrance fee of 300 baht per person.
-> You can book a day trip to the park from Koh Samui or Koh Phangan. Most tours include transportation, lunch, and snorkeling gear.
-> Be sure to bring sunscreen, insect repellent, and a hat to protect yourself from the sun.
