PACC Extends Congratulations on the Occasion of the Inauguration of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of Thailand.
on 11 December 2025, from 18.00 to 19.00, at the Athenee Hotel, Bangkok, Pimarn Siam Hall (29th Floor), the Secretary-General of the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) assigned representatives of the PACC—comprising Mr. Chonsawat Prasatkarukarn, Director of the Office of the Secretary-General, together with officers from the Division of Innovation and Transparency in Public Sector and the Foreign Affairs Division—to attend and extend congratulations on the occasion of the Inauguration of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Thailand.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Elnur Mammadov, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs and featured congratulatory remarks delivered by Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs. The event was held at Phimarn Siam Hall, 29th Floor, The Athenee Hotel, Bangkok.
On this occasion, the PACC representatives conveyed their congratulations to Mr. Elchin Ragub oglu Bashirov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Thailand, on the opening of the Embassy. The establishment of the Embassy marks a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral relations in the areas of economy, trade, investment, tourism, as well as cooperation in combating corruption between the two countries.
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Thailand was officially opened in September 2024, with Mr. Elchin Ragub oglu Bashirov serving as its first Ambassador. Today’s event marked the formal inauguration ceremony. Azerbaijan holds strategic importance as a logistics hub in the Caucasus region, situated between Eastern Europe and Western Asia, and sharing borders with Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, and the Caspian Sea. This strategic location positions Azerbaijan as a key connector in facilitating trade between Europe and Asia.
