Update on Cartoon 🐘
We have been updating you all as often as possible on Cartoon’s health, and we can now share an update following her surgery.
After being observed at our sanctuary, Cartoon was moved to Krabi Elephant Hospital to receive medical treatment. From there, the decision was made to transfer her to Lampang Elephant Hospital for further specialised care and surgery.
Cartoon has now undergone surgery for her dental problems, carried out by a team of specialised elephant veterinarians. Her dental issues were unique, meaning her surgery also provided valuable educational opportunities for veterinary medicine and allowed student veterinarians to learn from her case.
We are very happy and relieved to share that Cartoon is recovering well and showing significant improvements in her health and overall condition.
