Welcome to SAGE 2026
We cordially invite you to the 5th International Congress on Southeast Asian Gateway Evolution (SAGE 2026) in Phuket, Thailand. This scientific meeting focuses on the evolution and ecology of Southeast Asia's megadiverse fauna and flora which are now in need of urgent management and conservation actions. We are looking forward to welcoming you to this multidisciplinary and international meeting with contributions to evolutionary and biodiversity science, biogeography, palaeontology, geology, climatology, and conservation.
The venue will be held in Phuket, the southern province island boasting the world's finest beach destinations, with fine white sands, nodding palm trees, glittering seas and lively towns.

There will still be rooms for further symposium proposals, and also contributed paper sessions, and poster sessions.
The congress venue will be held at Phuket Royal City Hotel, a three-star hotel in downtown Phuket. The congress will start with an icebreaker party on Sunday evening, 2 August 2026, with symposia sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The conference dinner will be held on Friday night. This conference will be the cheapest and most impressive meeting ever held before.
The congress is held under the project of National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) called Hub of Knowledge: The Conservation and Utilization of Biodiversity in the Mekong River Basin and is jointly organized by Center of Excellence on Biodiversity, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Thailand, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
