กว่า 25 ปี ศูนย์สิริกิติ์บรมราชินีนาถ เพื่อโรคมะเร็งเต้านมกับการขับเคลื่อนโครงการสลัม (Slum Project) เพื่อช่วยเหลือผู้หญิงที่ขาดโอกาสในชุมชนแออัด ให้เข้าถึงการตรวจคัดกรองมะเร็งเต้านมและมะเร็งปากมดลูกอย่างเท่าเทียม
โครงการสลัม (Slum Project) ริเริ่มโดย นพ.กฤษณ์ จาฏามระ หัวหน้าศูนย์สิริกิติ์บรมราชนีนาถ เพื่อโรคมะเร็งเต้านมและคุณหญิงฟิโนล่า จาฏามระ ที่ปรึกษากิตติมศักดิ์ศูนย์สิริกิติ์บรมราชินีนาถ เพื่อโรคมะเร็งเต้านม ผนวกกับความร่วมมืออย่างมุ่งมั่นของทีมแพทย์ พยาบาล เจ้าหน้าที่ จิตอาสา และผู้สนับสนุนทั้งระดับบุคคลและองค์กรที่ร่วมสละกำลังทรัพย์ กำลังแรงกาย-ใจ บนความศรัทธาอันแรงกล้า ส่งความช่วยเหลือกับกลุ่มผู้หญิงที่ขาดโอกาสในชุมชนแออัดจากหลายพื้นที่ เพื่อให้เข้าถึงการตรวจคัดกรองมะเร็งเต้านมและคัดกรองมะเร็งปากมดลูกอย่างเท่าเทียม ซึ่งกระบวนการทำงานของศูนย์สิริกิติ์บรมราชนีนาถ เพื่อโรคมะเร็งเต้านมเป็นการทำงานร่วมกับภาคีเครือข่ายหลายฝ่าย หมายรวมผู้นำชุมชนในพื้นที่ชุมชนแออัด ดังนั้นผู้สนับสนุนเงินบริจาคสามารถมั่นใจได้ว่า เงินที่ท่านบริจาคมาทางศูนย์สิริกิติ์บรมราชินีนาถ เพื่อโรคมะเร็งเต้านม จะใช้ให้เป็นประโยชน์อย่างคุ้มค่าและให้ความช่วยเหลือได้ถูกต้องตามวัตถุประสงค์ ตรงกลุ่มเป้าหมายอย่างแท้จริง
โครงการสลัม (Slum Project) ครั้งล่าสุดเป็นครั้งที่ 37 เกิดขึ้นในวันที่ 7 และ 21 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2569 โดยสัปดาห์แรก คุณหญิงฟิโนล่า จาฏามระ ได้นำทีมแพทย์ พยาบาล จิตอาสา ลงพื้นที่ชุมชนแออัด จุดที่ 1) ชุมชนล็อค 6 คลองเตย, ชุมชนบ่อนไก่, ชุมชนสวนอ้อย โดยจัดกิจกรรม ณ โรงเรียนฝึกอาชีพ กรุงเทพมหานคร (คลองเตย) และจุดที่ 2. วัดแม่พระฟาติมา โดยทำกิจกรรมตรวจเช็คเบื้องต้นเพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมเข้ารับการตรวจคัดกรองมะเร็งเต้านม ด้วยเครื่องแมมโมแกรม และอัลตราซาวนด์ ที่ศูนย์สิริกิติ์บรมราชนีนาถ เพื่อโรคมะเร็งเต้านม ในอีก 2 สัปดาห์ถัดไป อีกทั้งยังมีกิจกรรมบรรยายให้ความรู้ เพื่อสร้างความตระหนักรู้เกี่ยวกับมะเร็งเต้านมและมะเร็งปากมดลูก
สัปดาห์ที่สอง: ทีมงานจะนำรถไปรับกลุ่มผู้หญิงในชุมชนแออัดดังกล่าวเข้ามารับการตรวจคัดกรองอย่างละเอียดด้วยเครื่องแมมโมแกรมและอัลตราซาวนด์ และเพื่อลดความกังวลใจและเปิดโอกาสให้กลุ่มผู้หญิงที่ขาดโอกาสเหล่านี้ ได้รับการตรวจสุขภาพเต้านมอย่างไร้ความกังวล ทางศูนย์สิริกิติ์บรมราชินีนาถ เพื่อโรคมะเร็งเต้านม จึงจัดกิจกรรมเต็มวัน โดยระดมทีมแพทย์ พยาบาล เจ้าหน้าที่ทางการแพทย์ที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อทำการตรวจคัดกรองสุขภาพอย่างเต็มศักยภาพ และในขณะเดียวกันกลุ่มจิตอาสาร่วมกันทำกิจกรรมกับบุตร-หลานที่ติดตามมาในระหว่างวัน โดยกิจกรรมมุ่งเน้นการสร้างสรรค์จินตนาการสำหรับเด็ก และเปิดประสบการณ์ใหม่ ๆ และที่สำคัญทุกคนได้รับความสุขอย่างเต็มที่จากกลุ่มจิตอาสาและได้เต็มอิ่มกับอาหาร ขนม ของเล่น โดยกิจกรรมดังกล่าวสร้างรอยยิ้มและความประทับใจให้กับทุกคนที่มาร่วมงานทั้งกลุ่มผู้ทำงานและผู้ร่วมกิจกรรม

For more than twenty-five years, the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer (QSCBC) has driven the Slum Project as a pillar of hope, ensuring access to breast and cervical cancer screening for underprivileged women in urban communities.
The Slum Project was initiated by Dr Kris Chatamra, Director of QSCBC, and Khunying Finola Chatamra, Honorary Adviser of the Centre. Driven by strong faith and commitment. This project has been sustained through the dedicated collaboration of doctors, nurses, staff, volunteers, and generous supporters from both individuals and organisations, who extend essential care and support to underprivileged women across urban communities, enabling access to breast and cervical cancer screening. The Centre’s operations involve close collaboration with a network of partners, including local community leaders. Donors may, therefore, be reassured that all contributions to QSCBC are utilised effectively, delivering tangible and meaningful impact, reaching those in greatest need, and directed to the intended beneficiaries.
The most recent Slum Project, the 37th of its kind, took place on 7th and 21st March 2026. In the first week, Khunying Finola Chatamra led a team of medical professionals and volunteers into urban communities, including: (1) Lock 6 Khlong Toei, Bon Kai, and Suan Oi at Bangkok Vocational Training School (Khlong Toei); and (2) Our Lady of Fatima Church. These sessions provided initial preparation for breast cancer screening by mammography and ultrasound at the Centre two weeks later. In addition, educational talks were held to raise awareness of breast health and cervical cancer.
In the second week of the programme, the team organizationed transport for women from these communities to undergo comprehensive screening with mammography and ultrasound. To alleviate anxiety and ensure a worry-free environment, the Centre curated a supportive full-day programme, mobilising a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and medical staff to deliver screenings at full capacity. At the same time, volunteers engaged children accompanying their mothers in activities designed to inspire imagination and provide enriching new experiences. Above all, the day was full of happiness, as families were supported and provided with a generous supply of food, treats, and toys. Ultimately, these moments brought smiles and left a lasting impression on all involved, fostering a shared sense of joy among both staff and participating families.
