Malaysian-Thai Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit Organization It is now assuming a major role in promoting closer collaboration between Malaysian and Thai businessmen.

The Malaysian-Thailand Chamber of Commerce (MTCC) was established in 2002 as an association primarily composed of Malaysian and Thai companies and individuals having business relations together.The Chamber was officially recognized by the Malaysia Ministry of Foreign Trade. The Chamber is also enhancing its networking with the respective governments to promote and develop economic relations in line with its objectives.

We are pleased to inform that the Malaysian-Thai Chamber of Commerce (MTCC) is organizing this year’s MERDEKA GOLF 2026 in conjunction with the 69th Malaysia National Day. This event is supported by the Embassy of Malaysia in Bangkok.



The golf event is envisaged to provide an opportunity for influential individuals, corporates as well as the Malaysian community in Thailand to network and come together in joyous celebration of the nation’s Merdeka Day.

Registration: 10:00 a.m.
Tee off Time: 12:00 p.m. (Shotgun)

MTCC Hosts Seminar on Foreign Investment and Corporate Transparency

The Malaysian-Thai Chamber of Commerce (MTCC) was pleased to host “Getting Your Structure Right: Foreign Investment, Corporate Transparency and Practical Solutions,” bringing together more than 50 participants from the business and professional community for an afternoon of insights, discussion and networking.

The seminar provided a timely overview of the current landscape for foreign investment structures in Thailand, with a focus on taking the right approach and identifying practical solutions for businesses operating or looking to invest in Thailand.

Our sincere appreciation goes to Mr. Worawit Sing-in, Director of the Foreign Business Administration Division, and Mr. Bunnasomboon Chaiparinya, Partner and Head of Corporate Department at JTJB International Lawyers, for sharing their expertise and valuable insights.

We were particularly pleased to hear practical perspectives and relevant case studies, including how foreign businesses can revisit and assess their existing business activities to determine whether they may in fact fall outside Thailand’s restricted business framework. The discussion highlighted the importance of understanding the regulatory framework carefully and taking a practical, business-oriented approach to structuring investments and operations.

MTCC recently hosted a farewell dinner in honour of our retiring Chairperson, Dr. Hwee Khim Boo, and Director, Dr. Supareak Charlie Chomchan.

On behalf of MTCC, Chairman Mr. Khew Ham Hoe expressed his sincere appreciation to both outstanding individuals for their unwavering support, commitment, and selfless dedication to the Chamber.

As a token of MTCC’s gratitude and appreciation for their valuable contributions and years of service, a commemorative memento was presented to each of them.

While they may be stepping down from their respective positions, their journey with MTCC continues. We are pleased that Dr. Hwee Khim Boo and Dr. Supareak Charlie Chomchan have both been appointed as Honorary Directors of MTCC, allowing the Chamber to continue benefiting from their experience, guidance, and support.

Last week, the Malaysia-Thai Chamber of Commerce (MTCC) successfully hosted our 2 # Teh Tarik Talk at MATRADE Bangkok on 6th August 2026, bringing together members and business leaders for an insightful discussion on the latest market developments and business opportunities between Malaysia and Thailand.

We were honoured to have Mr. Faizalkhan Jaafar, Trade Counsellor of MATRADE Bangkok, share his valuable perspectives on current market trends, trade developments, and emerging opportunities for companies looking to expand and strengthen their presence in Thailand and the region. His practical insights from the frontline of international trade provided attendees with a better understanding of today's business landscape and strategies for navigating a rapidly evolving market.

The MTCC Directors who attended enjoyed meaningful and engaging interactions with the students. We were impressed by their enthusiasm, curiosity and thoughtful questions.

It was a rewarding opportunity to share our experiences and, at the same time, gain fresh perspectives from the younger generation.
