What can Muaythai teach us about gender, power, care, and belonging in sport?
On the next episode of *Kicking Glass*, Sue Glassey is joined by Dr Erin Nichols, qualitative researcher at Griffith University, Muaythai coach, fighter, and member of the Sport and Gender Equity @ Griffith research hub.
With more than a decade of experience in Muaythai and a research focus on women’s experiences in sport, Erin brings a unique perspective that bridges academia and practice. Her work explores gender equity, sport governance, embodiment, and the realities of navigating combat sports as a woman.
Together, Sue and Erin discuss what research can teach us about creating more equitable sporting environments, how lived experience shapes understanding, and why conversations around gender in sport remain as important as ever.
