เมื่อวันที่ 27 สิงหาคม สหรัฐฯ และไทยได้สานสัมพันธ์ด้านการเกษตรให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น ผ่านการลงนามบันทึกความเข้าใจ (MOU) ว่าด้วยความยั่งยืน ระหว่างสมาคมส่งออกถั่วเหลืองแห่งสหรัฐฯ (U.S. Soybean Export Council - USSEC) และผู้ผลิตอาหารสัตว์และผู้ประกอบการปศุสัตว์แนวหน้าของไทย

ข้อตกลงนี้จะช่วยให้ไทยสามารถเลือกสรรถั่วเหลืองคุณภาพสูงที่ผลิตด้วยกระบวนการยั่งยืนจากสหรัฐฯ ซึ่งจะขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมอาหารสัตว์และปศุสัตว์ที่กำลังเติบโตของไทย ธุรกิจไทยจะได้รับเครื่องมือใหม่ ๆ เพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถทางการแข่งขัน ผ่านการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ การฝึกอบรม และงานวิจัยร่วมกัน ในขณะที่ผู้บริโภคชาวไทยจะได้รับประโยชน์จากห่วงโซ่อุปทานอาหารที่ยืดหยุ่นและหลากหลายยิ่งขึ้น ถือเป็นชัยชนะของการค้าสหรัฐฯ-ไทย และชัยชนะของนวัตกรรมภาคการเกษตรค่ะ!

Growing partnerships, growing opportunities! On August 27, the United States and Thailand deepened agricultural ties by signing a Sustainability Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. Soybean Export Council and a leading Thai feed manufacturer and livestock producer.

The agreement strengthens Thailand's access to high-quality, sustainably sourced U.S. soybeans—fueling the country's growing feed and livestock industry. Through knowledge-sharing, training, and joint research, Thai businesses will gain new tools to boost competitiveness, while Thai consumers benefit from a more resilient, diversified food supply chain. A win for U.S.-Thailand trade, and a win for innovation in agriculture!

สัปดาห์นี้ รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสหรัฐฯ คริสโตเฟอร์ แลนเดา นำคณะผู้แทนสหรัฐฯ เข้าร่วมการประชุม Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting ณ ประเทศปาเลา (30 สิงหาคม- 4 กันยายน) ในโอกาสนี้ เรากำลังสร้างโอกาสที่แท้จริงสำหรับการค้า การลงทุน และการเติบโต ผ่านการมีส่วนร่วมของภาคเอกชนสหรัฐฯ โดยเป็นการรวมตัวของผู้นำ นักลงทุน ภาคธุรกิจ และสถาบันการเงิน เพื่อปลดล็อกโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจให้กับบริษัทอเมริกัน แรงงานอเมริกัน และพันธมิตรแปซิฟิก

เป็นเวลากว่า 80 ปีแล้วนะคะที่สถานทูตสหรัฐฯ ดูแลรักษาต้นไม้และธรรมชาติอันล้ำค่าภายในบริเวณทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐฯ ในกรุงเทพฯ ซึ่งเปรียบเสมือนสัญลักษณ์ที่มีชีวิตของมิตรภาพระหว่างเราสองชาติ เช่นเดียวกับมิตรภาพสหรัฐฯ-ไทย ต้นไม้เหล่านี้งดงามด้วยการดูแลเอาใจใส่ ความไว้วางใจ และความมุ่งมั่นที่มีให้กันหลายยุคสมัย

For nearly 80 years, the U.S. Embassy has cared for the trees and irreplaceable nature on the grounds of the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence in Bangkok – a living symbol of the friendship between our two nations. Like the U.S.-Thai friendship, these trees have flourished through generations of care, trust, and shared commitment to one another.

This year is America’s 250th birthday and Americans take pride in being stewards of our natural treasures, from our national parks to our forests. That same spirit of stewardship travels with us — and we're honored to carry it here in Bangkok.
