Today, we raised the flag for the Danes who serve or have served on international missions - soldiers, civil servants, police, rescue and healthcare personnel, and more - as tomorrow, 5 September, marks Flag Day for Denmark's Deployed.

The Danish Embassy in Thailand expresses its deepest respect and gratitude to Denmark's deployed personnel, veterans, and their families, and we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you for your service 🙏🏼

The summit convened leaders from across technology, startups, corporations and investment to exchange ideas and shape where the industry is heading. This year's programme spanned the themes defining the region's digital transformation - artificial intelligence and fintech, green and sustainable technology, digital infrastructure, and the fast-growing Southeast Asian startup ecosystem. Together they point to a market moving quickly, with real momentum behind the technologies where Denmark also holds genuine strengths.

That same week from 26-27 August, TechBBQ, the Nordics’ largest startup and innovation summit, gathered founders, investors and policymakers in Copenhagen. Attending on behalf of The Trade Council was John Alexandersen, Head of Trade and Commercial Counsellor at the Royal Danish Embassy in Bangkok and regional team leader for technology, who works to link the Nordic ecosystem with the opportunities taking shape across Southeast Asia.

That link - between where Southeast Asia is heading and where Danish companies can contribute - is exactly what The Trade Council at the Royal Danish Embassy in Bangkok works on every day. Leading that effort, John and his team of experienced trade advisors help Danish companies enter and grow in the Thai market. Identifying the right partners, navigating the local landscape, and turning Denmark's strengths in green technology, digital solutions and innovation into a real foothold in the region.

ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 กันยายน 2569 เป็นต้นไป ผู้ที่ประสงค์จะยื่นขอวีซ่าเดนมาร์ก สามารถยื่นคำร้องได้ที่ศูนย์รับคำร้อง VFS Global แห่งใหม่ได้แล้ว เพื่อเป็นการอำนวยความสะดวกแก่ผู้สมัครที่อาศัยในเชียงใหม่และพื้นที่ใกล้เคียง โดยไม่จำเป็นต้องเดินทางไปยื่นคำร้องที่กรุงเทพฯ

Den 5. september er det Flagdag for Danmarks udsendte, dagen, hvor vi hylder de danskere, der er eller har været udsendt i international tjeneste: soldater, politifolk, sundhedspersonale, beredskab, udsendte medarbejdere og mange flere.

Som de tidligere år inviterer Den Danske Ambassade i Thailand danske veteraner i Thailand til en markering af flagdagen fredag den 4. september kl. 14.00 på ambassaden. Vi mødes for sammen at vise vores respekt og taknemmelighed for deres tjeneste og ofre, og for at hejse flaget sammen for at mindes de faldne.

Efter fælles flaghejsning byder ambassaden på kaffe og kage.

𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤'𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞'𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 🌱

From 27 to 29 August 2026, the Danish town of Middelfart hosts Climate People's Meeting, which is Denmark's largest public forum for climate dialogue. Over three days, citizens, policymakers, researchers, business leaders and cultural figures come together for 400 debates, workshops, talks and cultural events. The gathering is free and open to all, reflecting a core Danish conviction: that meaningful climate action is built through open, inclusive dialogue across society. 🌏

That conviction resonates far beyond Denmark's borders. The green transition is a shared priority for Denmark and Thailand alike. The two countries are working towards a green strategic partnership, deepening cooperation in areas such as circular economy, agriculture and the green transition. These ambitions align closely with Thailand's own Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model, underscoring the common ground on which our partnership continues to grow.

As Climate People's Meeting convenes in Middelfart, the Embassy is reminded that the transition to a sustainable future is a shared endeavour – one advanced not only through agreements between governments, but through dialogue, exchange and partnership between our two nations and our peoples.

Whilst the day is meant to be a celebration of freedom and independence, Ukraine still finds itself in the midst of a fight for exactly that.

Denmark will continue our unwavering support to Ukraine. During our Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2025, we worked to keep the EU firm in its support for Ukraine - and we will continue that work, both within the EU and through our direct support to Ukraine.
