We conclude the APEC 2022 Meetings with some ideas to inspire and energize the new generation of entrepreneurs. Today’s inspiration comes from Ms. Jareeporn “June” Jarukornsakul, a strong businesswoman who started her own business when she was just 26. She now leads the WHA GROUP, aiming for business growth in the midst of a changing world while simultaneously promoting environmental sustainability, in line with the BCG economic model, a key APEC concept for driving growth in the region.

Today, we explore the business ideas of an amazing Thai startup with a meaningful mission, Vulcan Coalition, which was co-founded by Methawee "June" Thatsanasateankit and Niran "Ran" Pravithana. These two young entrepreneurs from two different industries. Vulcan Coalition seeks to capitalise on the talents of people with disabilities to drive the AI industry and create job opportunities for all. This is in line with APEC's approaches to promote responsible business conducts and more inclusive economic participation by all members in society.

จบลงอย่างสวยงามสำหรับสัปดาห์การประชุมผู้นำเขตเศรษฐกิจเอเปค ตลอดระยะเวลาเกือบ 1 สัปดาห์ #เอเปค2565 มุ่งขับเคลื่อนศูนย์ข่าวสีเขียวอย่างต่อเนื่อง

ในวันที่ 6 Care the Bear และพันธมิตรร่วมกันลดการปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอนได้ถึง 30,295.40 กิโลกรัมคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เทียบเท่า หรือเทียบเท่าการดูดซับคาร์บอนทั้งปีของต้นไม้ 3,366 ต้น ทั้งนี้ เป็นการลดปริมาณการปล่อยคาร์บอนจากระดับที่คาดว่าภายในศูนย์สื่อมวลชนตลอด 6 วัน จะมีการปล่อยคาร์บอน อยู่ที่ 2,396,505 กิโลกรัมคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เทียบเท่า

บางจากในฐานะพันธมิตรได้ทำการซื้อคาร์บอนเครดิตมาชดเชย 2,366,210 kgCO2e ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการสนับสนุนให้พื้นที่ศูนย์สื่อมวลชนเป็นพื้นที่สีเขียวที่เป็นกลางทางคาร์บอนตามเป้าหมาย

ภารกิจหมีน้อย Care the Bear ของพันธมิตรจบลงแล้วด้วยความสำเร็จ!

As we wrap up this year’s APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, let's take a look at the carbon footprint at our Media Center. Over the course of the past week, successfully maintained carbon neutrality at our Media Center.

On the carbon reduction part, Care the Bear partners jointly help to reduce carbon dioxide emission by 30,295.40 kgCO2e-- equivalent to the annual absorption of 3,366 trees--from the estimated 6-day emission of 2,396,505 kgCO2e.

The remaining estimated emission of 2,366,210 kgCO2e is offset through carbon credit purchased by Bangchak, meeting the goal of being a carbon neutral Media Center.

Care the Bear’s mission has come to an end! But Thailand's commitment to climate action still lives on. Thank you for following our mission throughout the week!

A closer look at the tri-color Chalom, given to the U.S. by Thailand!

The Chalom, decorated with a bamboo garland, is finished in colors (Convenience Blue, Connection Pink, and Sustainability Green). It was crafted by Vassana Design, a brand renowned for bamboo basketry in the North of Thailand. The Chalom carries miniature fruits made from gossamer textile by a community enterprise project in Phitsanulok supported by the Community Development Department, Ministry of Interior. The fruits are the embodiment of abundance and prosperity.

The Chalom symbolizes Thailand passing on the will to drive forward economic cooperation to ensure the Asia-Pacific region remain open to all opportunities, connected in all dimensions, and balanced in all aspects.

มาดูใกล้ๆ กับชะลอมที่ไทยมอบให้สหรัฐฯ เพื่อส่งต่อการเป็นเจ้าภาพเอเปค!

ชะลอมคล้องพวงมาลัยสีโลโก้ #เอเปค2565 ประกอบไปด้วย ๓ สี คือ น้ำเงิน (การเปิดกว้าง) ชมพู (การเชื่อมโยงกัน) เขียว (ความสมดุลและยั่งยืน) ถูกออกแบบโดย Vassana Design ที่มีชื่อเสียงด้านงานจักสานไม้ไผ่จากภาคเหนือของไทย ภายในชะลอมบรรจุผลไม้ที่ทำจากผ้าใยบัว ประดิษฐ์โดยกลุ่มวิสาหกิจชุมชน จ. พิษณุโลก สนับสนุนโดยกรมการพัฒนาชุมชน กระทรวงมหาดไทย โดยชะลอมบรรจุผลไม้แสดงให้เห็นถึงวิถีความเป็นไทย และสื่อถึงความอุดมสมบูรณ์

ตัวชะลอม ๓ สีเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการส่งต่อเจตจํานงของการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจร่วมกันต่อไปใน ภูมิภาคเอเชีย-แปซิฟิกให้เติบโตอย่างเปิดกว้าง เชื่อมโยงกัน และยั่งยืน ตามที่ไทยได้ผลักดันตลอดการเป็นเจ้าภาพ
