In collaboration with Arlaadi, we are proud to launch a Cawo Women Program empowering 30 young women in Baidoa to transform their skills into viable businesses. These talented women are handcrafting eco-friendly cotton bags, turning creativity into entrepreneurship while contributing to sustainable solutions.

At Southwest Innovation Hub, we designed a 6-week training program focused on design thinking, idea generation, business planning, and pitching skills. Through practical exercises and vibrant discussions, participants are gaining the confidence and tools needed to bring their ideas to market and shape their future as business leaders.

Southwest Innovation Hub is seeking a skilled IT officer with at least 3 years of experience. The officer will be responsible for training our customers' staff and local enumerators based in Baidoa. The candidate should have a good understanding of local content and local dialogue.

This year's theme, Against Famine: Cultivating Resilience in the Face of Climate Change and El Niño, aligns perfectly with today's World Environment Day focus on tackling desertification and drought.

Catch a glimpse of the 2023 Southwest Entrepreneurship Annual Gathering held in Baidoa on December 16th 2023.

Participants gained valuable insights, networked with tech leaders, and explored the opportunities within the thriving Southwest business ecosystem. We had an amazing time bringing together over 300 innovation leaders and ecosystem builders from across Somalia, both virtually and in person!.
