LOVEABLE is a nuanced character study of a woman in crisis. With an in-depth understanding of human psychology, Ingolfsdottir depicts the hero(ine)’s journey of psychic healing that, she believes, is up for each of us to undertake. LOVEABLE is unique in how closely it draws to the heart of psychotherapeutic work. With great flexibility and rhythm in narrative form, she uncovers what it takes to heal, and what healing looks like.

Maria (Helga Guren) juggles four children and a demanding career while her second husband, Sigmund (Oddgeir Thune), often travels for work. One day, an ugly argument pushes Sigmund to ask for a divorce. Now, Maria must face her deepest fears.

🌊 Ahead of World Cleanup Day, Team Norway rolled up our sleeves at East Coast Park with colleagues from the Embassy and Innovasjon Norge to help keep our shores clean. From styrofoam containers to plastic waste, we collected several bags of litter that would otherwise have ended up in our oceans.

This year’s cleanup also served as a meaningful tribute to the late King Harald V, reflecting his deep love of the ocean and longstanding commitment to environmental stewardship.

The amount of waste we found was a powerful reminder that protecting our oceans starts with everyday actions. Every piece of trash removed is a step towards healthier oceans, thriving marine life, and a more sustainable future for generations to come 🌱

Healthy oceans are essential to a healthy planet. Together, let’s all do our part to keep our beaches clean and our seas free from plastic pollution.

The Royal Norwegian Embassy extends its sincere thanks to Sim Ann 沈颖, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs, for representing the Government of Singapore and conveying its condolences on the passing of His Majesty King Harald V by signing the Book of Condolence.

Singapore is deeply saddened by the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway. His Majesty King Harald V was a respected and loved sovereign, who demonstrated unwavering devotion to the Norwegian people.

On behalf of the Government of Singapore, I signed the condolence book for His Majesty King Harald V at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Singapore today. His Majesty King Harald V visited Singapore thrice – as Crown Prince in 1978 and 1984, and for a State Visit in 2004. He laid a strong foundation on which Singapore and Norway can continue to deepen our cooperation, particularly in the areas of maritime cooperation and trade.

Singapore extends our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and the people of Norway during this difficult time.

On Wednesday 9 September, Norway bid farewell to King Harald V. We are grateful for a lifetime of devoted service to the nation and its people.

As Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre put it in his speech:

“We are filled with a deep sense of gratitude: For 35 years with King Harald as Norway’s King. And above all, for the way he was our King. He struck a balance between being stately and being down-to-earth.”

"He made Norway greater. He spoke of a ‘we’ in Norway where everyone is there for each other, where each of us takes responsibility for the community as a whole, and where all of us have equal worth – from King Solomon to George the Hatmaker.”

Sjømannskirken vil være åpen for alle som ønsker å følge Kong Harald Vs begravelse sammen med flere onsdag 9. september.

Kondolanseprotokoll er lagt frem, og det er anledning til å tenne lys. Vi serverer kaffe og vafler.

Dørene åpner klokken 18.00, og TV med direktesending står på.
Begravelsen begynner klokken 19.00 Singapore tid.

His Majesty King Haakon VIII takes the oath before the Parliament.

The oath-taking is a formal affirmation of the constitutional monarchy and of the bond between the King and the people's elected assembly.

It is a tradition with deep historical roots and marks the beginning of a new chapter for Norway.

HM King Harald V (1937 - 2026)

It is with deep grief that we announce that His Majesty King Harald has passed away. King Harald died peacefully at Oslo University Hospital Rikshospitalet Friday 28 August at 6:35am.

Press release from the Office of the Prime Minister:

‘It is with great sorrow that I received the news that His Majesty King Harald V has died.

A whole nation is in mourning and the people of Norway are left with a deep sense of gratitude for a long life in the service of Norway.

For more than three decades as monarch, Harald V demonstrated an unwavering faith in the Norwegian people. He helped us to see the best in ourselves – and in one another.

King Harald found the words to bind us together when we needed them the most. He grieved with us after the attacks 22 July 2011. He cheered with us when Norwegian athletes excelled. And he guided us, with warmth, wisdom and openness, towards a society with a place for everyone. King Harald had a profound love for Norway. And Norway had a profound love for King Harald.

My thoughts and deepest sympathy are with the Queen and the entire Royal Family at this difficult time,’ said Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre on learning of the death of King Harald V.

King Harald V was born on 21 February 1937. He died at the age of 89.

The Government will be convening soon for a government conference at the Office of the Prime Minister, and after that an extraordinary meeting of the Council of State will be held at the Royal Palace with the new King.
