“The Unit of Pre-hospital Emergency Care (UPEC) would like to invite interested community first responders who are registered myResponder user to participate in this Mobile External Defibrillation Investigation for Cardiac arrest in Singapore (MEDICS) trial.
MEDICS is a research study that aims to increase survival for cardiac arrest by equipping community first responders with a personal AED. Eligible participants will be equipped with an AED device to carry for the duration of the study. Hands-on training will be provided by the AED vendor, and there is no cost to participate. Participation is voluntary, and consent is required before joining the study.
Those who are interested should meet the following criteria:
Be 21 to 74 years of age;
Be an active myResponder app user;
Must not already be in TCPR Link study; and
Be willing and able to move rapidly to respond to a cardiac arrest scene.
