Started by Dr Vanessa Lin, a Veterinary Surgeon with varied international experience (Australia, Malaysia and Singapore) experienced in diagnosing and treating animal illnesses, and performing surgery. My Family Vet Clinic and Surgery pride ourselves in providing the best possible care for our patients and clients. We strive to provide high quality, ethical and personalised care for your animals a

nd giving you a peace of mind that you are getting the best advice possible. We are open and approachable when problems arise and to discuss alternative options and treatment so to provide accessible preventative health care, to ensure all animals are offered a chance of avoiding preventable diseases. Dr Lin also has a keen interest in dermatology, soft tissue surgeries and Chinese medicine therapies for pets. She had worked in an emergency hospital and gained good experience in caring of critical patients, which demands competence in treating trauma lesions, and correcting medical or surgical disorder. 🐶 Did you know your dog’s gums can give important clues about their health?

Healthy gums are usually pink and moist. Changes in gum colour, such as bright red, dark red, pale, blue, or grey, can be signs of heat stress, poor circulation, low oxygen levels, shock, or other medical emergencies.

Gums can also become red, swollen, or bleed easily due to dental disease and gum inflammation, which are common but often overlooked problems in pets.

A quick gum check at home only takes a few seconds and may help you spot problems early. Regular dental examinations can also help detect oral disease before it becomes painful or affects your pet’s overall health.
