The Honourable Dwight Fitzgerald Bramble, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs, is currently representing Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at 14th Ministerial Conference (MC14) of the World Trade Organization (WTO), being held from March 26 to 29, 2026 in Yaundé, Cameroon.
Minister Bramble is accompanied by Director of Trade, Mrs. Okolo John-Patrick, and Trade Officer I, Mrs. Nicolette Dalton, who form part of the national delegation participating in the high-level discussions.
The WTO Ministerial Conference is the organization’s highest decision-making body, bringing together representatives from its 166 member countries to advance global trade policy and cooperation. This year’s conference will focus on several critical areas, including investment, e-commerce, agriculture, fisheries, and WTO reform.
Minister Bramble has been entrusted with a key leadership role at the conference, serving as Co-Facilitator for discussions on Investment Facilitation for Development Agreement (IFDA). In this capacity, he will guide dialogue among member states on strategies to improve the global investment climate, particularly for developing countries and small island developing states.
His role underscores Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ continued commitment to active engagement in the multilateral trading system and to advancing policies that support sustainable economic growth, resilience, and development.
Participation in MC14 provides an important platform for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to advocate for fair and inclusive trade practices, while strengthening partnerships and ensuring that the unique interests of small island developing states are effectively represented on the global stage.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs will continue to provide updates on the outcomes of the conference.
