🎨🐱 Have you spotted these colourful new murals at the rooftop playground and fitness corner of Blk 2 Geylang Serai Multistorey Carpark?

Featuring a beloved community cat, local food delights and vibrant patterns, the murals bring familiar elements of our neighbourhood to life while adding a fresh burst of colour to this shared community space. 🐱🍜✨

Created under HDB’s Lively Places Challenge 2026, the project was led by Melissa (a resident), who painted the murals together with fellow artists, with support from the National Arts Council, HDB, residents and grassroots.

It’s wonderful to see residents playing a part in shaping and enlivening the spaces we share. ❤️

The National Day celebrations may be over, but the spirit of “Majulah Singapura – Go Beyond” continues!

For devotees who are paying respects this 7th Lunar Month, let's keep our neighbourhoods clean and safe for everyone.

When carrying out traditional rituals, please use the designated joss paper burners, avoid scattering joss paper, and clear away offerings after prayers. These simple actions help keep our common spaces clean and pleasant for all residents.🏡✨

SG Clean Day is coming up this Sunday, 30 August 2026! There will be no sweeping at selected public spaces such as housing estates, parks, and malls.

We all have a hand in keeping our shared spaces clean. Let's continue to do our part and build a cleaner Marine Parade-Braddell Heights Town! 💚✨

As the 7th Lunar Month approaches, we encourage residents who are observing the occasion to practise considerate and responsible joss paper burning when paying respects to their departed loved ones.

1️⃣ Avoid burning joss paper and incense sticks directly on the ground or grass
2️⃣ Use designated joss paper burners when burning incense offerings
3️⃣ Burn smaller amounts of joss paper to minimise smoke and ashes
4️⃣ Clear away food offerings from the ground after prayers
5️⃣ Refrain from scattering joss paper around when performing prayers

Together, let’s play our part in maintaining a respectful, safe and clean environment for all!

As we celebrate Singapore’s 61st birthday, may we continue to go beyond for one another and keep building a community where everyone belongs.

This National Day, history returns to Kallang!

For our residents in Mountbatten, this historic occasion will feel especially close to home, with the familiar Kallang skyline and waterfront taking centre stage in Singapore’s celebrations 🌆✨

This year will also mark a National Day first, the Presidential Gun Salute will be conducted at Kallang Basin, bringing these ceremonial highlights beyond the stadium and closer to home.

Four 25-pounder guns aboard an M3G raft will sail around the basin while carrying out the traditional 21-Gun Salute, the highest military honour reserved for the President.
From the stadium stands to the Kallang waterfront, our town will once again be part of Singapore’s National Day story 🚢💥

As National Day draws closer, we’re looking back at a memorable celebration that brought National Day Parade (NDP) right into our neighbourhoods 🇸🇬

Do you remember the year the NDP Mobile Column came right past our neighbourhoods? In 2020, National Day looked very different. For the first time in 55 years, the parade took place without the usual public audience due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Instead of bringing Singaporeans to one central venue, National Day celebrations were brought into the heartlands 🏢

The south-eastern Mobile Column travelled through several parts of our town and nearby neighbourhoods. Across five routes, the Mobile Column covered approximately 200 kilometres, the longest distance it had travelled through the heartlands at the time.

Around 100 frontline and essential workers also joined the vehicles as part of a special tribute to those serving Singapore during the pandemic
For many residents, NDP 2020 was not watched from stadium seats, but from their windows, corridors and neighbourhood streets.
