Last Saturday, residents from Dakota Breeze and Dakota Crescent joined Ms Gho Sze Kee 吴诗琪, MP for Mountbatten SMC, for a litter-picking session around the Dakota neighbourhood. Together, residents helped keep the estate clean and pleasant for everyone. The morning ended with a well-deserved breakfast and warm conversations among neighbours.

A big thank you to everyone who participated. Keeping Mountbatten clean is a shared effort, and every small action makes a difference. Let’s continue working together for a cleaner, greener, and more caring Mountbatten! ❤️🏡✨

🌳 Have you seen the durian trees along Lorong Lew Lian that have been making the rounds online recently?

that "Lew Lian" is the Hokkien name for durian? Long before the estate we know today, this area was home to durian plantations during the kampung days dating more than 70 years back.

The durian trees were planted during a Tree Planting event in November 1995, with additional trees planted in celebration of SG50 in 2015. Nearly three decades on, these 13 trees continue to thrive and remain a distinctive feature of our neighbourhood.

As Braddell Heights celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, it is especially meaningful to see these trees bearing fruit once again. Beyond the durians themselves, they tell a story of our area's history, greenery and community spirit across generations.

We are glad that many residents and visitors have been enjoying this unique sight. For everyone's safety, we would like to remind members of the public not to pick or pluck the durians.

If you are passing by Lorong Lew Lian, do take a moment to look up and appreciate this little piece of Braddell Heights' heritage.💚

Overflowing Bin? Give Us a Ping! 🚮📲

We’ve recently piloted a QR Code-Enabled Reporting System for bin clearance across Braddell Heights, Eunos Court, and Marine Terrace.

Residents and passers-by can now simply scan the QR codes placed on the bins to alert our conservancy teams when they are full — helping us respond faster and keep our estates clean and pleasant for everyone. 🏡✨

The initiative is being progressively implemented at selected locations across our estates, with priority given to areas with higher footfall to enable better service response.

Let’s Stay Vigilant!

We have received feedback on increased mosquito activity around Bartley Beacon.

Under Ms. Diana Pang 彭丽燕’s direction, the Town Council has stepped up oiling, misting and fogging operations, and we are working closely with the National Environment Agency (NEA) to conduct more frequent inspections around the estate. With the current rainy weather, mosquito activity tends to increase, so we are keeping a close eye on the situation.

💪 Residents, you play an important part too! Let’s all continue to do our part by practicing the ‘B-L-O-C-K’ steps regularly to prevent mosquito breeding in your homes:

1️⃣ Break up hardened soil
2️⃣ Lift and empty flowerpot plates
3️⃣ Overturn pails and wipe their rims
4️⃣ Change water in vases
5️⃣ Keep roof gutters clear and place BTI insecticide

Together, we can create a safer environment for all! 🏡🚫🦟

It’s heartwarming to see our Braddell Heights community come together so quickly to clear the fallen tree and restore access. In moments like these, we’re reminded of the kampung spirit that defines our neighbourhood - always caring, compassionate, and ready to lend a helping hand.

A big thank you to everyone who stepped forward to help. Let’s keep this strong community spirit alive and continue looking out for one another.
