World Cup season is here. But for our MinLaw dads, the real tournament never stops. ⚽️

Penalty shoot-out or first day of school? 90 minutes or one full day with the kids?

The verdict? Parenthood wins. Every time. No halftime. No substitutions. No appeals.

Happy Father's Day to our MinLaw dads - the real MVPs of the house. 🏆

Close neighbours, strong partners…and apparently very serious about durians!

Minister Edwin Tong and Malaysia's Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform), Dato' Sri Azalina Othman Said, witnessed the signing of MOUs between Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) and Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC) and AIAC, and discussed what the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone means for our legal communities on both sides of the Causeway.

Minister Edwin Tong's recent official visit to China marked key milestones in Singapore-China collaboration.

Highlights included the empanelment of specialist mediators to the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC)'s panel in Tianjin and the opening of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre Representative Office in Beijing.

In Shanghai and Shenzhen, Minister also engaged with the Shanghai International Arbitration Centre (SHIAC) and the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), both of which are exploring plans to establish a presence in Singapore. These developments underscore Singapore’s commitment to fostering legal and commercial ties to support businesses and cross-border commerce.
