At tonight's S'pore Prison Service (SPS) Volunteer Awards Ceremony, we receive token of appreciation from the SPS, in appreciation of our support towards the rehabilitation of offenders.

This is the second year Watchman's Home Community Services received such an award.

A home for second chances starts with one safe place. Below is a story of one of our residents:
When Mr A was released after nearly 20 years in prison, no family was waiting for him and no home stood ready. During his incarceration, family relationships had gradually broken down. Communication with his siblings stopped in 2022, and he had been estranged from his father since the beginning of his imprisonment in 2006.
On the day of his release, Watchman’s Home welcomed him with something simple but life-changing: a safe place to stay, stability, and people who believed he could start again.
Within weeks, Mr A found work. Today, he is financially independent, reconnected with his elderly father, and supports his father with a monthly allowance. His story shows what becomes possible when someone has a secure place to rebuild.
Watchman’s Home Community Services supports newly released ex-offenders and people facing homelessness in Singapore with safe, substance-free accommodation and practical support.
