North East Community Development Council We aggregate needs and resources, build capabilities, and connect the communities. Thank you.

Set up in 1997, the North East Community Development Council (CDC) serves a population of over 914,000 residents in four Group Representation Constituencies (GRCs) and two Single Member Constituencies (SMCs). They are Aljunied, Sengkang, Pasir Ris โ€“ Punggol, Tampines GRCs, Hougang and Punggol West SMCs. North East CDC administers financial and employment assistance to residents in need as well as

works closely with community and corporate partners to plan outreach programmes to promote bonding and social cohesion.

Through their capstone project, our NExus interns brought together seniors from Goodlife Studio (Montfort Care) for a morning filled with laughter and shared moments.๐ŸŒž From seated floorball and disc golf to board games and bingo, every activity was thoughtfully designed so everyone could join in the fun.

Beyond the activities, it was also a meaningful opportunity for our interns to turn their learning into action, and to see how small acts of care can make a difference. โœจ

At this yearโ€™s Hands & Hearts event, we partnered with Yip Group (Jean Yip Hair) to bring a little extra care to seniors from All Saints Home (Tampines). From fresh haircuts and manicure sessions to a lively performance, it was an afternoon dedicated to helping them look and feel their best.

Beyond the pampering, it was the smiles, laughter, and heartfelt conversations that truly lit up the day โ€” a beautiful reminder that everyone deserves to feel cared for and celebrated. ๐Ÿฉท
