Assessment vacancies are limited and popular dates can be fully booked quickly. Early registration helps ensure a smooth progression to the next stage without unnecessary waiting time.

Time really flies — since May 2023, we’ve had the joy of watching you grow from a beginner swimmer into someone who can confidently perform all four strokes and successfully complete all three stages. 🏊‍♂️👏

Although it’s sad to see you leave, we are truly proud of the progress, determination, and confidence you’ve built throughout the journey. You’ve become a capable and competent swimmer, and that is something to be proud of.

We wish you all the best in your next chapter and hope to see you back at the pool whenever you have the time. Keep swimming and continue shining! 💙

Meet Head Coach Alvin Ng 🤿

Meet the man behind the goggles at Swim Masters Singapore.

Coach Alvin’s journey in swimming didn’t start with confidence — it started with fear. As a young boy, he experienced a near-drowning incident at just 10 years old and was rescued by a lifeguard. That moment shaped his life forever.

Today, with over 15–20 years of coaching experience, Coach Alvin is not just a highly skilled instructor — he is someone who truly understands what it feels like to be afraid of water.

He specialises in:

Helping fearful beginners overcome water phobia
Supporting children with negative past experiences
Building confidence step-by-step in a safe, patient environment

Preparation over Rocket Science (1:01): True speed comes from being the most prepared person in the pool through consistent, focused training.
• Consistency is Key (2:35): Avoid long breaks. Consistent, average training over time beats sporadic, excellent training followed by long rest periods.
• Mindset Matters (5:22): Remove the word "can't" from your vocabulary to avoid setting artificial limits on your performance.
• Measure What Matters (8:02): Use stroke counting to track efficiency. Aim to hold the same pace while reducing the number of strokes per lap.
• Visualization Works (11:56): Mentally rehearse your races and techniques, including how to handle potential disasters like broken goggles.
• Dream, Plan, Reach (14:17): Set specific, measurable goals rather than vague intentions, and follow a clear plan to reach them.
