Join the Traffic Police at National Bikers Weekend, happening from 11–13 September at Singapore Expo Hall 4.

Come by our booth and step into “The Last Mile” — an immersive experience that takes you through a motorcyclist’s final journey, through the eyes of a Traffic Police officer. See what we see on the roads, and discover how a decision to prioritise safety can make all the difference.

𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗗𝗜𝗣𝗦)

To enhance road safety, the Singapore Police Force will be tightening the Driver Improvement Points System (DIPS) to better deter traffic violations and keep errant motorists off our roads for longer periods, effective 1 January 2027.

Key changes include:
• Lower thresholds for licence suspension and revocation
• Longer suspension periods for each suspension
• Changes to educational interventions for errant motorists

These changes reinforce the importance of responsible driving and encourage all motorists to play their part in making our roads safer for everyone.

Thank you for shining a spotlight on the rising number of injuries and fatalities arising from traffic accidents. Too many lives are torn apart - by collisions that are completely avoidable. I believe it is possible to reduce fatalities significantly, even eliminate them. More enforcement, while necessary, is not enough - our road culture needs to change too.
