Our community gardens are blooming with flowers and herbs, and community spaces are brimming with activities for all. We share your sentiments about the progress in Tampines. It is no wonder that Tampines is today one of the most popular places in Singapore to live in and
also to visit. The community spirit is also strong. All these did not happen by chance but are the result of careful planning and hard work over many years. Our PAP team has provided the ideas and the leadership to make things happen for our residents in Tampines. We have more exciting plans in store. A major project is a new Town Hub for Tampines, where residents of all ages can gather, visit their HDB and Town Council offices to do business, shop, eat, learn a new skill, exercise, enjoy a play or concert, watch football, and hang out with friends and family. We will push for more upgrading of your flats under the Home Improvement Programme and Neighbourhood Renewal Programme. At the heart of our programme is not so much the physical infrastructure – which as we have seen in Japan, can be destroyed by natural disaster – but the kind of society we want to build in Tampines. Our vision is to build a vibrant, caring and united community, where people help each other, and feel a strong sense of belonging. To make this happen, we need your support.
