For the first time, the Singapore Heart Foundation and Samsung Singapore have come together to collaborate on a walkathon event to encourage Singaporeans nationwide to get active for a healthier heart!

Flagged off by the senior management representatives of SHF, Samsung Singapore and other partnering organisations at the National Stadium this morning (13 Sep 2026), the Galaxy Walkathon was also organised in celebration of SG61, and participants were urged to clock at least 6,100 steps each to mark our nation's birthday.

The event also marks the start of Samsung Singapore’s partnership with the Singapore Heart Foundation, with a donation to support SHF’s programmes and initiatives to promote heart health in Singapore.

Thank you Samsung Singapore for supporting our heart health movement and shaping the future of our nation's heart health with us!

What happens when young Singaporeans put their own creative spin on what a healthy heart means — through ART?

On 4 September 2026, the Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) unveiled an artistic showcase at Bayfront MRT Station, featuring 30 artworks by young artists shortlisted from the Art for the Heart 2026 competition, themed “Strong Hearts, Bright Future”.

Through their art, these young Singaporeans have found creative and inspiring ways to express what heart health means to them — helping to spark greater awareness and encouraging the community to take charge of their heart health.

Part of SHF’s “Next Stop: Your Healthier Heart” project, the showcase was launched in collaboration with SMRT and Terumo Asia Holdings, with support from DKSH, in conjunction with National Heart Week and World Heart Day.

The event was graced by Ms Denise Phua Lay Peng, Mayor of Central Singapore and Member of Parliament for Jalan Besar GRC. Heartfelt appreciation to our partners, supporters, young artists and everyone who joined us in bringing heart-health education to the community.

The showcase and artworks will be open to the public until 30 November 2026. 🎨 Take a moment to discover the creativity of our young artists. Cast your vote for your favourite here: https://bit.ly/SHFAFTH2026 (Voting closes on 31 October 2026)

A sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere — even at home, when someone you love is right beside you.

In Singapore, more than 4,000 people suffer sudden cardiac arrests every year, with close to 80% occurring at home.

When every second counts, having CPR+AED skills can make the difference between waiting for help and taking action.

Your support can help empower more people with the confidence and skills to step up during a cardiac emergency.❤️ Give generously today to help put life-saving knowledge into more hands — so when a heart stops, someone nearby is ready to act.
