Who doesn't like a good dive? 🏊‍♂💦

Diving head first into swimming is fun and looks cool, but we always prioritise safety first! ⚠️ Here are some tips for a perfect head first dive:
1. Check the water depth and ensure it's safe for diving. Best if it's 2m deep more more!
2. Keep your arms straight and your hands clasped together above your head and behind your ears.
3. Point your toes and push off the edge with a strong leg kick. 🦵🦿
4. Tuck your chin to your chest and look straight down as you enter the water. 💦

Freestyle is one of the hardest strokes to master. Being able to coordinate your legs and arms doing different movements are not easy! Thus, here are some freestyle drills you can use to help improve your technique:

💦 Fingertip drag: improves recovery phase + balance in the water
💦 Catch-up drill: improves stroke efficiency + develops proper pulling technique
💦 Bow & Arrow: improves balance in the water + develops a stronger flutter kick

Did you know that mastering your breath can enhance your performance and enjoyment in the water? Here are some tips to help you breathe like a pro:

1️⃣ Exhale fully underwater to clear your lungs.
2️⃣ Inhale quickly and deeply when your face is out of the water.
3️⃣ Coordinate your breathing with your strokes for a smooth rhythm.
4️⃣ Practice bilateral breathing to balance your stroke and improve endurance.
5️⃣ Stay relaxed and avoid holding your breath.
