Sandy Dandy is a novel indoor sand play space for children 6 months to 14 years old. Going deeper into the origin and healing properties of sand, sandplay therapy is not only effective with children, they apply to adults too. Sandplay is a term originally coined by Dora Kalff, the founder from the German word "sandspiel". Children and adults work in the sand to create places and worlds, which express their inner conflicts and tensions, and find perspective on their issues. Playing with sand promotes physical developments and social skills, improve cognitive development, develops motor skills and allows children to stretch imagination and creativity. Coupled with rest area for parents and value added services like theme parties, Sandy Dandy is not only a space for children and parent to bond, the space also promotes independent and social learning, sharing of ideas and exploration without boundaries and rules.
