Asia-Europe Foundation - ASEF promotes understanding strengthens relationships and facilitates cooperation among the people from Asia and Europe.

ASEF enhances dialogue, enables exchanges and encourages collaboration across the thematic areas of culture, education, governance & economy, media, public health and sustainable development. Founded in 1997, ASEF is an intergovernmental not-for-profit organisation located in Singapore. It is the only institution of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM). Together with about 750 partner organisations, ASE

F has conducted more than 700 projects, mainly conferences, seminars and workshops. Over 40,000 Asians and Europeans have participated in its activities, and reached a much wider audience through its networks, web-portals, publications, exhibitions and lectures.

The Closing Curtain finale of the 8th Asia-Europe Cultural Festival - coming to Singapore! 🇸🇬

warmly invites you to join us on 19-21 June at the iconic Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay for Elusive, a double-bill of works presented in partnership with T.H.E Dance Company and cont•act Dance Festival.

Developed with the support of the Residency Programme, the Closing Curtain performances were carefully crafted through a close between visiting choreographers and locally-based dancers from T.H.E. In one night, you'll experience contemporary dance pieces that reflect on the complexity and ambiguity of the human condition through two distinct yet interconnected choreographic works, making their world premieres at . ✨💃

CARILLON: Choreographed by Panzetti/Ticconi (Italy 🇮🇹 & Germany🇩🇪) - Inspired by the mechanics of a music box, the piece explores what happens when meticulous patterns slip and falter, when what reassures begins to destabilise.

O:ro: Choreographed by Bora Kim (Korea 🇰🇷) - An invitation to reflection on how the body carries memory, feeling and time. Mourning travels through bodies as vibration— Sensations once lost begin to stir again.

It sits at the heart of sustainable development: shaping climate outcomes, governance, peace, and social inclusion. When women participate fully in policy and public life, better decisions follow.

is bringing together ~20 policymakers, advocates, and practitioners from across the ASEM region for a three-day capacity-building programme on Gender Equality and Women's Participation in Kunming, China (7–9 September 2026).
Participants will build practical skills in gender analysis, mainstreaming and gender-responsive budgeting, with a focus on the SDGs and cross-cutting development agendas.

Travel and accommodation are covered. Applications close 3 July.

🇯🇵🇮🇹 On the occasion of the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between and , ASEF supported the special curated tour of the exhibition Hokusai - The Great Master of Japanese Art in on 25 May. Director Valentina Riccardi attended the event together with several Embassy representatives of ASEF member countries.

Dedicated to the celebrated Edo-period ukiyo-e artist Katsushika Hokusai, the exhibition presents works from the renowned collection of the National Museum in Krakow, .

The special tour was led by Ms Beata Romanowicz - Polish curator of Japanese art from Krakow National Museum and former participant of ASEF's programme - highlighting the importance of international and collaboration across and .
